It happens that you reserved your trip far in advance. For reasons beyond your control, you must cancel your reservation. If you do not respect this procedure, you risk losing your rights for compensation.
8 What should I do in case my luggage is lost or stolen?
Request that a competent authority (police, lost and found department at the airport, public transportation service involved…) makes an official, written declaration. Insist on obtaining this. Did it occur at the hotel? If so, ask the hotel Director to make a declaration and request a certificate.
