As the undeniable nerve centre of Mondial Assistance Belgium, the assistance platform employs 46 people who relay around the clock, seven days a week, to resolve problems encountered by clients. 

 

"To work on the assistance platform is a demanding job. But helping someone in distress who is perhaps on the other side of the world, is also very gratifying. What are the qualities of an assistance coordinator? There are many! Being bilingual is a must – but knowing other languages such as German, English, Spanish, Italian is of course extremely useful.  

It’s also necessary to think clearly, analyse a situation rapidly, appreciate its seriousness, and build appropriate solutions quickly. Therefore it’s important to act with a healthy dose of creativity and assertiveness, and to meet every challenge proactively. The quality of your empathy and listening skills goes without saying.  

Of course, the assistance coordinator does not work alone. He can count on our international network of 400 000 service providers throughout the world. 

 

The assistance coordinator must also be precise and rigorous: the colleague who follows up a file during the night must know exactly what was done during the day, and vice versa. Team spirit is therefore also a key element for a successful assistance service."

Reinforcement for the busy season



Each year, 40 to 50 students help reinforce our teams during July, August and September. No matter what their department, we made sure they received adequate training about the company, the tasks they were given, and the correct client attitude expected of them.
